Ms. Castillo started her journey with ABWA in 2013 as the recipient of the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF) scholarship, which she used toward her BAS in Supervision and Management from Florida Southwestern College. She graduated with Honors and Cum Laude in 2015. Over the years, Ms. Castillo has attended Regional and National Conferences held throughout the country, she has been awarded Apex Awards, and received various Certificates of Achievement for her continuous leadership roles in her League. She served two years as the Council Financial Officer in 2015 and 2016, was elected the 2016 SWFL Council Woman of the Year, and stepped up her ABWA leadership role as the 2019 SWFL Council Chair. Ms. Castillo is the Council’s website Guru!

Our Mission: The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.

About Us: The American Business Women’s Association is a prestigious, national organization established for working women and women business owners.  It is a community where women can be part of a national organization with a local connection, come together to gain career development and pursue business opportunities while being influenced and mentored by like-minded women who really care. 

Meetings: The Southwest Florida Council meets on the 2nd Saturday in January, April, July, and October (quarterly meetings) at the Fort Myers Regional Library located at 1651 Lee Street, Room CD, Fort Myers, FL 33901 from 9am-9:30 am Board meeting and regular meeting 9:30am to 11:30am.

Annual Events: Woman of the Year Luncheon in January-February and ABW Day Luncheon in September
